Hatton knew from the time he was 25 or so that at 30 he would be finished with the style he fights and his weight fluctuations. The plan was always for Ricky to retire before 30 because you cant have a long career as a pressure fighter being in so many wars and Hatton was in many. Ricky can still compete with most JWW's, but will have problems with any really fast, hard punching, good hooking fighter.
I think the Collazo and Tszyu fight took everything left in Hatton as far as punch resistance goes, he took numerous bombs and was able to walk through them. Ricky went through hell in both of those fight's to pull out the victories and then he fought Castillo where it ended so early we couldn't see he was slipping.
Watch the shot Collazo lands in this gif and Ricky was able to weather that bomb without any problems and that was at WW. Now this punch would probably knock him out.

No disrespect to Floyd or Pac, because even at his prime Hatton would lose to them, but he would have been much more competitive, especially against Pac.
