Why did Floyd fought Hatton at 147?

An awful lot of people said the Welterweight is not Floyd Jr's natural weight Division..

Can someone please tell me the real reason why PBF fought Hatton at 147, considering that Hatton was holding a title at 140lbs.

Cuz he knows he couldn't beat Hatton at 140 his best weight... Floyd handpicks weights and opponents. He ducked his comp.

alot of it had to do with the fact that hatton turned him down at 140, hatton called out mayweather and was willing to return to 147. Hatton, especially after the tszyu/gatti fights between the two of them had a chance to do it at 140 and hatton said he
      "wasnt ready"

I've been over this plenty of times

One, Floyd held the 147, 154 titles. Plus, he was P4P #1.

Floyd weighs less than 150 pounds come fight-time; can't say the same for Hatton.

Floyd actually weighed 146 for Judah.

NEITHER weigh 140 pounds come fight-time so Floyd saved us the bs charade of fighters dehydrating their bodies to make weight then rehydrating it for the fight. That's why you have Hatton over 140 pounds even though he is a JrWW and someone like Pac who weighed 147 pounds for Diaz even though it was at 135.

Basically, why bother with dehydrating the body then rehydrating?

It's actually a benefit for both fighters since both have a greater chance to show up HEALTHY for the fight.

        End...

i dont think this is the case, making weight is not an issue to pbf. walk in the park for him

at the time, hatton was the king at 140 and looked unstoppable. however at 147 he looked slugish and does not have the same aura like he does at jww (ie. collaza). floyd saw this as a weakness and use it to his advantage

Because Floyd is smart, and fighting Hatton at 147 is the logical thing to do if you want to win.

So then the same applies for JMM vs PBF @ 147? thats why he wanted JMM at 147lbs?
