Why??? This is theee superfight of the year?? If JMM's gettin' ten mill, then good for him. Its well deserved and way overdue.

Splitting 30 mil?! How the hell are they each gonna make more than Pac and Hatton?
How they make more is by putting the most popular and hated boxer to date in the ring- Floyd Mayweather.

600k ppv just to pay both fighters.

i think they're just throwing high figures out there.

so floyd's and jmm's next fight they can ask for a high starting amount.

no way they have a $30 mil. purse for this fight. fighters ain't the only one that needs to get paid.

Good for marquez. He deserves a big payday like this.

Love him or hate him, you gotta recognize Floyd's ability to get a payday.

Floyd was making as much money to fight Sharmba as Pac was making for barrera/morales/marquez. And the Sharmba fight wasn't even PPV. And the attendance was 7K, I believe. In Portland.

Not saying that's right... it just is.

I think there is some PPV upside in those numbers, and not the guerentees. To me it is more along the lines of if Floyd makes 20 million JMM is make 10, if Floyd is making 15 million JMM is making 7.5, so on and so forth.

                  Buu,

Would you please explain how the fights economics work?

                  Thanks.

Floyd is a bigger draw period, I'm just waiting for those Hatton-Pacquiao HBO PPV numbers.

This will probably be the highest Marquez has made in all of his fights in his career put together.
