How you gonna duck someone for so long they change their damn name just to get some respect. Im sorry, i give ray leonard VERY LITTLE respect for what he did, in a fight he did not win.
Regardless, the odds were against Leonard heavily in that fight. He fought a lot better than the odds indicated.

The difference between Floyd and Ray was Ray was taking risky fights while he was in his prime. When Floyd reached his prime, he looked for the biggest money fights with less risk (since maybe 2002). It's not to take a shot at Floyd, but even Ray fighting Hagler in '87 was still a risky fight for Ray considering he was supposed to take a beating from Hagler and was out of the sport for about 3 years while hagler was still an active fighter. Ray also wasn't really heavily favored over Hearns either.

People don't deny Floyd's accomplishments, but as he became the #1 recognized fighter, he really hasn't lived up to his potential (which is when it counts). He tried taking the dramatic way out by retiring early, but the reception maybe wasn't what he was looking for and now another fighter has quickly taken his spot who seems to be filling the void Floyd couldn't provide...excitement.

I see your point, but the only true way i can really agree is if floyd comes back, like hes back now, and does not fight ANY of the top welters after this JMM/Pac thing. Then i can truely say his career and legacy could have been better, i would agree.

I gotta admit, floyd's resume could be better, but its good enough
