Money knows that ain't going to work. He would switch to his regular defense and work him like Judah. It wont be surprising if he tags him to the body.

The biggest thing that worries me the most is who can adjust? We've already seen Floyd do it. He does it quickly and beautiful. Can Pacman do it? He seem frustrated against Marquez..

No ****, I acknowledge that already. But what happens when He has to go forward against an defensive fighter? Marquez showed him whats up in his last fight. Mayweather will do the same.

And I'm in no way dissing Pac, I'm a huge fan and his boxing skills are underrated. But, and this is key, stylistically speaking Floyd is perfectly set up to beat Pac.

Floyd Jr is an extremely good counter puncher, JMM had great success against Pac when he started to time his punches. Expect Floyd to lose the first few rounds, Pac's aggression and workrate will have him in an early lead. But as we've seen on countless occasions before, Floyd will use his defense to hang in there and eventually he will start to counter punch effectively.

Floyd's defense is insane, I don't think enough people realise how hard it is to actually land a punch on Floyd. He works in the pocket like no other, he has an ability to make you miss by millimeters, punches that some onlookers deem to have landed in fact graze off his shoulders, gloves or even sometimes over the top of his head.

There has been a lot of talk about size in the possibility of this fight, size won't matter as much as strength. Floyd has the edge in strength, he proved against Hatton and De La Hoya (at a higher weight than Pac) that he can out wrestle bigger opponents.

Pac's only chance is if he can trick Floyd into moving and covering up by using feints and head movement. If Pac can do this he may be able to land enough to hurt or stop Floyd. If this fight goes to the judges Floyd wins.

I have always rooted for Pac, and I believe I still will when these two meet, but my boxing brain leaves me with no doubt who will win.
        maybe the other way around..=)

You talking about his "binoccular" defense? Or so I like to call it. What he did against Zab, I agree... But pacs speed cannot be over-looked.. it really just can't.

Floyd really hasn't fought anyone with Pacs speed besides Zab, and Zab did extremely well for the first 5 rounds, which is really a Zab cliche` at this point.

I'd like to think Pac could do it for the entire 12.

Zab is bigger and more of a boxer than Pac. I would almost go as far as to say he's faster too.

freddie roach " after the marquez something just clicked, he thinks more and ha has become a more comple fighter"

emmanuel steward "this guy can do everything, headmovement feet, head, hands, feints, speed."

may i remind some of you that this is no longer the one dimensional pac we are talking about, he has the tools to beat mayweather for sure.

Really good post I am going to paint a different picture for you....IF Floyd gets past JMM I say IF because as we have all learned in boxing their are no defintes. I mean look at Tyson Douglas right? Then IF the fight gets made IF again here is another take on the happenings. I think Roach and Co know the story with Floyd Roach had the opportunity to train Oscar against Floyd and he knows thaty Floyd is going to try to use the first few rounds to get timing down and start to counter punch. he is also not ****** in the fact he knows that Floyd is a strong WW and that he is going to be able to muscle Manny on the insde. He is going to tell Manny to jump on Floyd early and use his straight left hand. I see almost any orthrodox fighter having trouble with what? Come on fellas what is the biggest punch and most trouble Ok I will tell you the straight left hand. Right? What is manny's best punch? Come on fellas this one aint hard either right? the straight left hand. Floyd is going to get hit with these and as we have seen when you are watching out for the straight left hand Manny is not to shy about throwing a good hard right hook no no no he throws that with pretty bad intentions. His in and out movement and side to side bouncing around like a little jakc rabbit. Floyd is quick and ha the foot work and skills but Manny is not far behind him in footwork. Manny has a kiler instinct and proves to be a great finisher. I do not think this is an east fight for Floyd no matter what anyone say. Manny could prove to be Floyd night mare as well. he will atack and pressure. But we have seen ti before the pressure fighter becomes the stalked and that would be the one possibility everyone does not see coming Floyd hits Manny with something big and Manny starts backing up. But honestly I do not see manny backing up moving around stepping to the side and throwing but not going straight backwards.

I see you valid post and I see what Reed wrote and see it somewhere in the middle. I do defiintely see Manny imposing his will early on and going for the kill. If it get to the later rounds we will see somethings we have seen from both fighters I can smell it cooking up already....Lefty
