It's funny now Pacquiao's last 3 wins were "easy fights"

Roach will never let Manny fight at 147 again, as he knows he chose the only fighter, DLH, who Manny could easily beat, look really good in doing so and on paper it sounds pretty amazing.

Choosing Hatton, although considered by some as the best fighter at 140, was again a really clever decision. Roach knew Hatton was defensively incapable, was past his best after the Mayweather loss and was someone who, again, Manny would look good beating. Roach made the prediction of a Manny win within 3 rounds, because he knew Hatton doesn't have the defensive abilities to cope with Manny's speed and would most likely underestimate his power. Although it is still an impressive win, it sounds better on paper than it actually is.

Roach wants Manny to move on and fight the best, but won't let them anywhere near Manny at their own weights. Cotto, Mosely, Mayweather will all have to move down in weight to fight Manny, giving him an advantage. If Roach is so confident in his fighter, then why not fight them at their own weight? If he's not good enough to fight these guys, then go back down to lightweight or beat the best at light-welter.

It's a very clever move by Roach and Arum, choosing opponents who Manny can look good against, create an advantage for Manny and give him a better chance of getting a big name on his resume. They are trying to sculpt him into the greatest fighter of all time in doing this, and so far they are succeeding.
well, you bet on hatton so that means your opinion here is worthless

    j/k

actually, againts de la hoya, roach was the only one who believes pac beats dlh (i even doubt he's that confident) againts diaz, it was his first fight plus all the other lightweight contenders where fighting each other. with ricky, his style is perfect for pac. but some people think that ricky's size and hugging could give him trouble, and he was the best at 140.

nobody thought he'd dominate diaz as much as he did
nobody thought he'd ko de la hoya
nobody thought he'd ko hatton in two rounds

now, it seems like pac is being fed fighters that are perfect for him because he's kicking their asses. not really the case if you think about it

Pac's last two fights utterly shocked and shook the boxing world. How do you finish watching those jaw dropping performances and proceed to discredit the wins. The DLH fight moreso, I mean people we're willing to boycott the fight! Who in this board could have honestly predicted that outcome? If someone came to you 3 years ago and told you Pacquiao would make DLH quit in his stool, you'd have punched them in thier face.

word around the boxing world is that Manny has gotten better in each fight since his 2nd fight with JMM.......ok break it down.......Diaz is not in JMM's skill class and thats FACT!........DLH was physically unable to perform like DLH is known for.....thats FACT!!!!.......Hatton is not on JMM's level and thats FACT!!!........if you take 3 lesser opponents than the last guy to trouble you......you SHOULD look good!........if you can get past the hype you'll see that these were EASY fights disguised by excellent promotion.......I dont wanna sound like I'm hatin' on Pac because I really do like him but I call a spade a spade.........lets just see whats next or who's next on Pac's plate........Arum screamin' Cotto .......Cotto under 147 aint Cotto

of course everything looks better.......he was able to put on an offensive display against guys who couldnt defend......how come he didnt look that good against JMM?......and please dont say he learned that stuff AFTER the rematch.

                Ain't that ****ing true...

They got their own personal favorites, and they can feel the heat Pacman's about to bring on their man, or their legendary countryman just got disposed off like a toilet paper by Pacman in the past...

I would rather like to hear out of the fights he did make WHO did they expect him to fight and make the same amount of noise he has made within the boxing scene. without these fights would it be better for the sport? i know for a fact since then more people in my work are willing to watch his fights and are waiting for the HUGE MEGAFIGHT vs FLOYD. he needed these fights more than anything to get to the fight of the century. without it i don't think it would have happened. so please stop bitching about why he fought those two people.

You cant say they were easy fights . if u see his record he fight with average boxers every time when he move up weight and then went to best boxer of that weight .I think thats his strategy.which makes him a good boxer.

He fight with the best boxer of light weight (Juan Marquez)when he was in light weight. Now he is light welter weight he started with oscar and hatton , which were best of thier time .and next couple of fights he deffinately face some good boxers of that weight. probably in the future shane mosley , cotto, valero.
