Let's PRETEND for a moment that i was Dios. Which i'm not because Dios has been banned. Uhh, I heard.

I am in the analytical side of the business. That is why I get access to certain data (Q-ratings, PPV buys, units sold, geographic mix, etc). My category analyst has both IRI and AC Nielsen nums at her disposal. And (for Wal-Mart) RetailLink.

In the consumer products industry, everything is numbers-driven. It is purely fact-based selling.

If you were to go back and pull the PPV posts for that Dios guy you were talking about, you will see that he always had the nums, and they are always accurate.

I know some GED grad is going to insult... so fire away.

Pac was the P4P king against Delahoya and received less. P4P king in boxing means nothing when it comes to business. Its abput draw, and Mayweather is the bigger draw.

Not if it's Mayweather and the 650,000 buys are true. Pacquiao only became P4P because Mayweather retired. With both Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting Pacquiao will still have a claim, but this fight would be the determining factor. Mayweather did much better numbers against DLH. Mayweather would have done better numbers against Hatton. I'd be willing to bet anyone that Mayweather-Marquez does better than the 400,000 or so that Pacquiao-Marquez 2 did.

IF that ends up being the case that means Mayweather did better PPV numbers against three common opponents. Mayweather is the undefeated unretiring P4P champ. I don't know how on God's Green Earth Pacquiao could assume a position of demanding more money and just expect Mayweather to take it. If we've learned anything about Mayweather it's that he will not be dictated to, especially not by anyone who takes their marching orders from Bob Arum.
