Usually it's the guy with the leverage who can get the rematch-clause.
For example my man Kessler couldn't get a clause when he fought Calzaghe, but had one negotiated and agreed upon with Miranda (before the fight for other reason fell through). Calzaghe was the alphamale in the first example. Kessler in the second.Comment

There probably was, and after the fight Hatton gave Pac $5 mil to forget it and not tell anyone.

Not really. I was just curious why he didn't push for it, for his own sake. I have no interest in seeing a rematch.

I think because they both wanted to move on to a bigger fight straight after, not going at it again cause they where both as confident as each other of winning and winning well so I guess they didnt want to hang about and wanted to chase another superfight straight afterwards.Comment
