Negativo it would lose his stock will real boxing fans like us and probably every Boricua out there, but to the casual fan watching the fight because of Manny or because they bought into the hype via 24/7 it makes cotto another Marquis fighter to the public.

cotto is already on the public eye..

maybe not as much as manny pac....

but the only one winning if cotto looses is manny pac...

cotto doesnt need to be in the spotlight getting a beatdown to be a marquis fighter..
he needs a solid win.. over a marquee name.. not a loss

Some people are saying Pac isn't a natural 140-pounder and too small to give Cotto problems... just like the pro-Diaz, pro-DLH and pro-Hatton arguments pre fight...right? Here they go again underestimating Pac. I mean what has the man got to do to impress these peeps? It's unbelievable. They make Pac sound like a pipsqueak.

He already demonstrated what he can do against 140's best yet we still hear that nagging doubt about how strong he is... and he's improving and he can ****. Pac's no pushover even at 147 I honestly believe, but at 140 these welters will be weakened and will be training to make weight more than to box.

Nah... I'm only pointing out that Pac is a strong fighter even if he came from the lower weights and that the usual arguments for him losing those fights was that he was too small.

He destroyed the top guy at 140. I think that's proof enough that he'll be dangerous in that division even for WW's because they would have to drain down to it or to a low catch weight, and especially with a guy like Cotto who's had weight issues for leaving 140 to begin with. Cotto will be a sitting duck at 140.
