This doesn't mean too much with me, Arum could just wait for Pacquiao to retire if the fight doesn't make sense till then and say "Sorry, he retired!"... the contract doesn't really mean anything.

Valero wants a shot with PACQUIAO cause he knows that he has a puncher's chance, but he is a perfect example of one dimensional, kind of like the old PACQUIAO but with less speed. Valero would rather fight CASAMAYOR AND DIAZ over PRESCOTT, yeah cause he doesn't wanna get KO by prescott..Casamayor is lazy, KATSIDIS almost KO him, valero wil KO his drunk ass for sure, now JUAN DIAZ is just gonna give VALERO a massage, before VALERO KO his powerless ass...I would rather see him fight PRESCOTT..

Valero is one of those fighters at the point of Manny's career that is too much risk not enough reward. I still think that Manny is much more of a complete boxer than Valero and no doubt beat him, might even inflict the head injury he had in the past. Valero only chance is to get a lucky punch..Not worth it, I'd rather see PACQUIAO fight MAYWEATHER, MARQUEZ, COTTO, AND MOSLEY..THEN MAYBE END IT WITH VALERO OR JCC jr.

i don't think valero is that big a risk.

just ask yourself, if pac, who is already an ATG and living legend, beats valero, what does he really stand to gain??? nothing a victory over valero means nothing

I agree with you bro. Pacquiao might kill this guy in the ring. If pacquiao will hit Valero like he did to Hatton, which I think will surely happen bcoz of their speed disparity, I think It might cost Valero his life.

Valero needs to take the lightweight division to make a statement first or something. Damn Bob Arum is smart...

Valero vs. Pacquiao would be a preety good fight, but im almost sure that Pacquiao will retire after/if he beats Mayweather. Nothing more to prove.

Valero has been groomed as cannon fodder for Pacquiao for a long time. It seems that he's put all of his eggs in the Pacquiao basket, which may never come to fruition. He hasn't exactly been matched tough in his career and I don't think his handlers want to risk him losing the KO record or taking an L because the stats and the alphabelt are the only bargaining chips he possesses.
