Boxing seemed to get a little more exciting without Floyd... Pac is Way more popular than Floyd worldwide.. and his Excitement and the emphatic ways he destroys the opposition means he is the true P4P king..

Floyd could only dream of the admiration some other boxers receive

Floyd's wins over DLH and Hatton were better IMO. People seem to forget Hatton was found out by Floyd first and Pac knew exactly what he had to do to beat Hatton after being KO'd by Floyd. DLH was not even competitive in his fight and would have been picked apart by most decent WW's, being weight drained and washed up...Not taking anything away from Pac, he got two good wins but still Floyd had the harder work to do.

While I think Floyd took a lot of juice out of Hatton - paving the way for guys like Lazcano to stun him and Pac to KO him, Floyd deserves as much credit for beating Oscar as Manny does. Meaning...very little. Oscar was done when Floyd fought him, he was done AND drained when Manny fought him.

Manny overshadowed Floyd as soon as he came out of his mother's womb.

All in all, in the casual fan's eyes, they dont look at all of that. They just see Pac as this little Philippino monster knocking out everything in his path. Therefore that's why i say he has overshadowed Floyd as far as popularity goes.

Pacmans feat is more impressive considering how small he is and how he fought at 4 different weight classes in his last 4 fights, also Pac was supposed to get ko'd by Hoya and Hatton was supposed to be the toughest fight of his life, Floyd was a huge favourite in both the fights.

Now if you're a casual fan, and u saw all 4 fights, who's fights will u be purchasing again in the future? Pacman has a much more fan friendly style, and is humble. He has the respect of the fans, and has shown that he is willing to step up to the plate and take the risks to prove he is worthy of his pfp#1 status.

So my question is: Has Pac overshadowed Floyd? I personally think so. He's a worldwide phenom. He has nike endorsments, and has been listed in forbes magazine as top 100 most influential people in the world. His following and fanbase has risen dramatically over the past few yrs, and will continue to grow. I feel Floyd senses this, and this is why he picked the night of his fight with Hatton to announce his comeback fight. He basically tried to steal Pac and Hatton's thunder, but to no avail. Pac's demolishion of Hatton was too much to be outshined by Floyd's classless antics.

As much as Floyd's fanboys want to disagree, right now Floyd needs Pac more than Pac needs Floyd.
I tend to agree because it is my nature to do so.

Paving the way for Lazcano to stun him?

have you watches Hatton vs Maggee or Hatton vs Thaxton, did those guys also learn to knock hatton down from Floyd?

Pac used a completely different game plan than Floyd.
