Why Won't Cotto Fight Paul Williams?

I know what you mean. Cotto is in the top 10, but in no way is he a blockbuster star. Other than a Margarito or a Mosley fight, I don't see any other fights that would be better than Williams vs Cotto. (No way Floyd or Pacquiao will fight him). But bro in no way am I dissing Cotto.

i was just wondering... i know what u mean. .and i agree... a williams fight should be good for us the boxing fans.. but we have to remember that is not up to us.. is up to the promoters (the ones who put the money on the table).. me as a fan... i would love to see him agasint william... but being realistic.. that fight is not gonna happen... until somebody step up and put some decent money in order to back up williams and u know what i mean.

Cotto & williams

First and foremost they are in a different weight class. This catch weight bull **** that has been happening lately has got to stop. If you want to fight the champ , you fight him in his weight class or shut up. Ask the experts weight makes a difference or there would not be weight classes. A good big man will always beat the smaller man if the are both of the same skill level.
Many times when a small man balloons up to a higher weight it is either fat or fluid.the weight classes have already changed to
in between weights. Eg: Junior welter 140 to welter 147 the same in all the weights. Catch weights are bull **** periodand should not be sanctioned. Rodhook.

Williams has been saying Cotto's name for ages it seems, I've never heard Cotto's people say they would take or want this fight. This is good for boxing.
