Paul was going at it with Margarito first and Paul got that out of the way,
Then he faught Carlos Quintana twice
And then PW moved up.
Cotto has only been a Welter weight less than two years and faught 7 times already. I honestly did not even know who Paul Williams was until he faught Walter Dario Matthysse and I saw a sloppy kid in Williams. He was still learning on the job. Don't worry, if Paul comes down to Welter again, and Cotto is champ, there is no doubt in my mind that Cotto will fight him.

I know what you mean. Cotto is in the top 10, but in no way is he a blockbuster star. Other than a Margarito or a Mosley fight, I don't see any other fights that would be better than Williams vs Cotto. (No way Floyd or Pacquiao will fight him). But bro in no way am I dissing Cotto.

I don't mean it's official, I mean this is what the Clottey fight is for, the right to face SSM next. SSM is #1 at WW and Cotto already got a win on him. If he beats Clottey, he should target the SSM rematch and forget about lil Pac, who's likely gonna face Mr boat buyer.
