Thanks...I didn't watch it live but I saw it on a *******, and the arena did not look all too lively. That gate number is unreal.

think about how fast ried fell compared to the rest of the team. Look at vargas, david diaz, mayweather and tarver, and now think about ried. LOL

Vargas would still be going if not for Tito. Tito ruined two of those guys.

Ried was going to get ruined no matter what, Vargas shouldnt have been rushed to tito, he did NOT beat winky wright, that should have been a sign right there, however people forget, Main Events was scared vargas would actually be in trouble with the law before a big fight could be made, which is why they went out of their way to make the fight happen. tito beat the hell out of him, vargas just needed a little bit more polish and he would have been fine, but he didint get that chance at got rushed into stardom.

Tito had a rabid fanbase. And I was a face-painting nuthugger. Despite being proudly nonboricua.

I spent gobs of money flying around to see Tito fight. Partied like crazy in Vegas for both the Oscar fight, and the Vargas fight.

I have not seen a fighter since Tito who brings so much joy to the ring. And infects his fans with the same kind of joy. Only manny pac comes close. Two most charismatic fighters of our generation. Ex-Tyson.

One of the reasons why I really don't care for cotto is that he is just benefitting opportunistically from the leftover Tito-love. I'm convinced that Puerto ricans don't really LOVE cotto. He's there. He's doing well. He's their own. So they support him. He doesn't get that Trinidad 9or hatton) support. And Arum knows it. That is why they always/often have to fight Migs close to NYC, and on the Puerto Rican Parade weekend. Eff that marico Cotto.

Gawd, I loved Tito. (wipes away tear).
