Floyd Sr is obviously going to say his fighter will win etc to gee him up he needs to make his fighter feel invincible while doing the hard work behind closed doors in training. He had every right to berate Hatton for not following the game plan as in doing so Hatton makes it pointless him even having a trainer and means a lot of wasted time formulating the plan.

As for spraying water in his face that was his wake up call because the boy had cobwebs in his head lol Hatton is the only person to blame for this defeat....well Hatton and Roach/Pacquiao

Floyd is there to sell tickets with his mouth and train his fighter. IMO he did both. could he have showed more concern for his fighter (most definitley), should he have taken a cheap shot at his fighter and say he should retire (probably not) should he be castrated for showing a little unprofessionalism in the ring and being upset that his fighter was ruining his own career or for playing the loud obnoxious ego driven jerk that we all know he can be? NO, it's all a gimmick and if you are upset or angry and wanted to see Ricky lose because of this then again Sr. did his job. As for yelling at him in between rounds, Ricky upset me the way he came out like a wild amateur. Showing absolutley none of the progression that he's had in training and completley abandoning his plan. I would have shouted at him too. This was the big test, this was game time. This was the table he spent his life trying to eat from. And he was carelessly throwing all his (hatton's) and Sr. hard work out the window. Pride or no Pride, I've heard Buddy Mcgirt yell at Antonio Tarver telling him to stay focused stop playing around and demanding his fighter look at him and pay attention. Best believe if James Kirkland doesn't follow orders he's going to get an ear full from Ann. The point can be made that at a pivital point in the fight Sr. could have exercised a little more tact and tried not to attack Hatton's embarassment by telling him "you should have been listening from day one", but that was just the competitor and the ego of Floyd, and to me it was right for him to pounce on his fighter and try to wake him up and let him know he was doing it again!! He was letting his chance slip. He was letting his emotions run his game and you can't do that against someone like Pacqiao, or any elite fighter for that matter.

Yeah. Seems like Mayweather's training Hatton for SR's kudos, not for Hatton's benefit. We'll see if Hatton still has SR. training him after all this chaos simmers down. Roger seems a little more down to earth.
