i cant believe the hate in here if chavez jr gets kod then let him, none of you are making that kinda of money to get kod, and manny has plenty of non worthy opponents on his resume, so the non worthy stuff is b.s. , chavez jr isnt as skilled and has name recognition thats half of prize fighting there name recognition sells fights, just like hatton . let the kid have his shot he'll learn win or lose.plenty of "worthy "opponents will never fight pac cant have it all.

I don`t think it is about the hatred... IMO there are two reasons, why nobody wants to see this fight.

First of all, Chavez Jr. did nothing to earn a payday he could get in the fight with Manny.

Secondly, few boxing fans (except the fans of Chavez Jr.) want to see this fight... The reason is obvious: nobody wants to see complete destruction of a B class fighter in Chavez (which will happen with 95% probability), because there are many other great fights in which Manny can take part. There are Cotto/Clottey, Mosley, Mayweather/Marquez... Those would be the fights anybody would like to see...

While Manny is in his prime, everybody wants to see him fighting Top guys, and that is what he is going for the last couple of years... Until he gets older nobody will let and excuse him for fighting B class opposition.
