I agree his defense is better than Hatton's, however his chin is suspect. He's been wobbled by nearly every flush shot that's hit him. Judah, Mosley, Margarito wobbled him bad. Not comparing Pac's power to any one of them, but it means that he'll be able to hurt him. Other than his better defense and slightly faster fists I don't see too much difference between what he brings to the table and what hatton brought against pacquiao.

Great boxing sense. He is a very smart fighter. Smart enough to be prepared for anything (unlike Hatton, who sorta figured Pacquiao would be running). As well as not let himself get popped by too many Pacman shots. He's also much better at cutting the ring off, and could give a lot of problems to Pac.

His chin in suspect, but he was taking BOMBS from Margarito before he finally went down. And that's saying a lot if Marg did use loaded gloves.

Arum isn't called the most Astute promoter in the business for nothing.

If PBF wants Pacquiao it's all on Arums (& team Pacquiaos) terms, at the same time he keeps cotto happy with the chance (Carrot on a stick) of a massive money fight against Pacman.

I feel Cotto coming down to 140 will not happen and Cotto @ 147 is to much of a risk for Pacman. 145 is do-able.

But in my opinion Arum throwing cottos name around is just a pre-negotiation tool for Mayweather Pacquiao.

Mayweather using that has far more weight than cotto/pac being thrown out there, because if pac didint take that fight with mayweather, people would be frustrated at the dissolution of a fight even the mainstream media has taken notice of.

Totally agree with Mafu Mofo, although I would say Manny & Roach will go to catchweights of around 143 but no higher than 145. The De La Hoya 147 was a huge money spinner and considering it was De La Hoya, worth every penny but a Manny v Cotto/Mosley fight isn't going to generate anywhere near the same interest, so why take the risk? When a PBF or Marquez rematch would generate more money?

I think all the upcoming fights are great, PBF v Marquez, Cotto v Clottey and neither are foregone conclusions, so all the posturing and talking is secondary until these fights are concluded, in the meantime a Manny v Mosley could be arranged and that would be really interesting because Mosley has good power & faster hands than most other potential Manny opponents.....

Totally agree, But Arum as to do this before hand, Arum knows the business regardless of mainstream taking notice or not. He needs everything he can use during the negotiation stages. As there is already Bad Blood between Mayweather & Top Rank - this being an obsticle in this fight actually happening.

I agree with this. PBF vs Pac and Cotto vs Mosley II first. The winners can fight each other and the losers can fight each other. IMO that's the best match up for the fans of each fighter and boxing on the whole.

floyd will not break down jmm in the manner pac murdered hatton.

pbf fans wordage is you can't base pac vs pbf by fights he has already fought. his dominating last 3 fights since their fight can only show how much he's improved and not the same fighter.

i HIGHLY believe the trilogy will end any controversy and pac will DESTROY JMM. and if pac can do it. he should pull jmm to 147 since everyone here is saying no catch weight and pac should fight THE BEST at 147. jmm wants pac more than pac wants JMM. bring on the excuses.....

pac loses to cotto.... he can take down mosley. to be safe go for mosley. but he's not scared and will get hurt by cotto which ulimately ruin pac vs pbf.
