Cotto vs Pacquiao at a catchweight? I thought Manny was Mr. Invincible and could beat all the Welterweights with one hand tied behind his back? Now he has to fight Cotto at something lower than 147? Haha. Anyone else see the ridiculousness of this?

He either can fight at 147 or he can't. Draining Cotto to a weight he used to fight at years ago and struggled for a long, long time to keep making, which is at 140, is simply a ***** move. You either fight the man at 147 or stop making everyone believe the insane hype that you can't live up to Manny. Stay at 140 because Cotto or Mosley will destroy you at 147. Period.

Why even throw Cottos name out there. He's already booked for the summer and has a tough fight in Clottey. Too early to mentions Pacquiaos next fight.

I never said he was invincible or that he could beat everyone at WW. I'm mocking this massive Pacquiao nuthugfest going on at the moment. Make no mistake, I consider Pac to be a great fighter, but every man has his limits, and 147 is NOT for Pacquiao. Even Roach admitted there are a few guys Pac could beat at 147, which were Margarito and Oscar, and he didn't feel comfortable having Pacquiao fight any higher than 140 otherwise.

So, that being said, this story comes out, with Roach saying come down lower than 147 for the potential Cotto matchup, and that's lame to me. I dislike excess hype towards a fighter like this, and catchweights in general defeat the whole point of weightclasses to me. If Pac can't make fight Cotto at 147, it shouldn't happen.

And yes, Pacquiao deserves all the credit for beating Hatton. No argument at all from me there. I am only annoyed with this general perception that Pacquiao is somehow unstoppable now. How quickly people forget the JMM fights and how vulnerable Manny is to a SUPERIOR BOXER, not necessarily a superior FIGHTER. He can be countered and anyone like JMM and PBF that forces Pacquiao to come forward to be countered will always be a problem for him. Be realistic, that's all I'm saying people.

Arum cant mess up Pac vs Mayweather, Only the fighters can. Promoters cant control fighters of their level, they will give suggestions but at the End its the fighter that will have the final word. So like I said in another post it will be Pac's choice on if he fights Mayweather or Cotto not Arum. So dont blame Arum if you dont get the fight you want.

There's different reasons Arum is putting this out there, 1 is leverage against Mayweather, another is he's means it. He shouldn't be putting this out there right now though, Cotto got knocked out last time that happened.

floyd faught at 154 cuz oscar wanted the fight there and made all these restriction for the fight to be signed, floyd wanted the paycheck, pac well weigh in 148, cotto will come in around 160 at a weight he is use to fighting at, plus he is still in his prime, all this ripple in the pool talk is nonsense, oscar wanted to fight manny at 147 not lower, called him out, so thats what happened, they faught at 147, roach said manny is better at 140 and more natural there

If Roach/Arum want Cotto and/or Shane, fight them at 147. Same if Floyd wants them; fight them at 147.

I'll let the rest slide but if you want the fight, fight them in their proper division where they are healthy.

If Floyd fights Cotto or Shane, chances are (and if he is still the same weight as when he was active), he'll show up at 147-149 to fight Shane and Cotto as well.

Just fight the fighters and not the scales.

1 Thing I will say right now.

Cotto will let Manny Pic the ring, the Gloves, the venue, the day and the bigger splt of course. No way in hell this fight gets made lower than 147. ill bet on that!!!!!!!
