Arum isn't called the most Astute promoter in the business for nothing.

If PBF wants Pacquiao it's all on Arums (& team Pacquiaos) terms, at the same time he keeps cotto happy with the chance (Carrot on a stick) of a massive money fight against Pacman.

I feel Cotto coming down to 140 will not happen and Cotto @ 147 is to much of a risk for Pacman. 145 is do-able.

But in my opinion Arum throwing cottos name around is just a pre-negotiation tool for Mayweather Pacquiao.

cotto literally dies to make 140...i don't think its good for his health, let alone his boxing, to try to get below 147.

It's definitely an interesting match-up. Pacquiao is 5'6 1/2, Cotto is 5'7". Both are excellent punchers with fantastic accuracy. Basically it would be Manny's speed and combos vs Miguel's never ending pressure and vicious body shots.

        I'd pay to see it.

It reminds me of what people were saying about the Hatton fight.

Cotto will let Manny Pic the ring, the Gloves, the venue, the day and the bigger splt of course. No way in hell this fight gets made lower than 147. ill bet on that!!!!!!!

Cotto have already stated numerous times, he wont go lower than 147 for anybody!!!!!

And it will be some bull **** if Roach tries to get Cotto to let say, 42 where Cotto is unhealthy, thats a ***** move period!!!!!!!!

its a ***** move to get Manny to go to 147 against a bigger fighter why doesn't Cotto fight Paul Williams instead of callin out the smaller fighter

Yeah, but Miguel is actually a good fighter. So there's that. And his defense is A LOT better than Hatton's ever will be. Oh, and he has a great chin especially considering it appears that Pacquiao's power isn't as devastating at Welterweight.

Cotto is a better version of Hatton?

Cotto could spell disaster for Pacman.....he is a legit welterweight champion after all. he is no pushover and could KO Pacman......

im nervous for Pacman if this fight pushes through but this is how a boxer creates his own legend.....by taking risky fights

I agree his defense is better than Hatton's, however his chin is suspect. He's been wobbled by nearly every flush shot that's hit him. Judah, Mosley, Margarito wobbled him bad. Not comparing Pac's power to any one of them, but it means that he'll be able to hurt him. Other than his better defense and slightly faster fists I don't see too much difference between what he brings to the table and what hatton brought against pacquiao.
