Yes he lost to the 2 current best fighters. But losing in that kind of way is really devastating, discouraging and embarrassing.

Mayweather shook his brain, Pac sent him to heaven.

watch the floyd fight again, hatton takes some big punches throughout the fight and doesn't wobble round the ring. Ok maybe the nature of the stoppages were brutal but i cant see being knocked out effecting your punch resistance 3-4 months down the line. i just think hattons problem was more of a defensive issue

I don't know tbh . I would like to see him against a top welterweight to see if Pacquiao's just on a level of his own but wouldn't like to see that again . Barry McGuigan says he should just put his head up high and walk away , same with Freddie Roach and Floyd Mayweather Sr so maybe it's for the best . I think he should defintley avoid rapid handspeed like Mayweather Pac Mosley etc .

It's not losing to the #1 and #2.

It's how he lost that have many of his fans and family members concerned.

He looked amateurish in there against Manny. The replays will confirm that.

I can't recall more than one elite or top fighter in history who ever returned to top form after suffering as devastating a knockout loss as Ricky suffered against Pacquiao.

I'm talking at that weight, in case people bring up RJJ's KO loss to Tarver which he apparently recovered from enough to continue.

Of course, Ricky may decide to continue boxing, but he won't ever be the same again.

He's likely to suffer more losses than wins.

Hatton should retire, or 1 more fight at home for the fans against someone with no pop. He got to the world stage with great strength, endurance, heart and chin, that was his MO. But it seems to me that ricky has gone as far as his chin will let him.
