Because he lasted less against Pacquiao than a washed up DLH and Corley gave more fight to Mayweather than Hatton.

      What mangler said...

Also, the dude can't improve. I think he's proved that now. He showed some very slight improvement in the Malignaggi fight, but even there he was hurt by the feather-fisted fighter. Another thing, its arguable that he got gift decisions in his fights with both Juan Lazcano and Luis Collazo; we all know he looked like trash in those fights.

After a brutal knockout like that, I don't know why he'd return. It seems like the humiliating loss to Mayweather ruined him psychologically.

That's why Mayweather called it a war after the fight?

Oscar lasted so long because he wouldn't engage Pac, he wouldn't even throw a punch. Hatton could've hid too and got beaten up but it's not his style, it's all or nothing like a true warrior.

dont think his chin is that bad, its just his non existent defense. he just gets caught with more clean punches. i mean come on the knockout punch on saturday was practically a free punch, most top guys would be down and out takin that one clean

Exactly. Only in boxing do we completely trash boxers after a loss. MMA guys loose all the time and no one says anything. Hell, name me a legendary boxer and I can easily name a huge loss to associate with him. Pac just wasn't gonna be denied and would have beat any boxer 135-147 that night.

Hell Hatton has alot to look forward to. Alot of fights still left out there. I say take a few B class fighters to get confidence back up. Here are a few fights for ricky to consider and all are ones he can win:

            Nate Campbell
            Tim bradley
            Junior Witter
            Kendall Holt

after those winnable fights He can either jump up to other big name fights in the way of Juan Manuel Marquez, Victor Ortiz or by calling up one of the 135 lbs like Guzman, Valero etc. Dude is far from finished and Im tired of fans going out of their way to write boxers off. I just dont think its good for the sport.

Stoppages take something from you and he's been knocked silly twice. Paulie stunned him once coming in and he's the most feather fisted fighter atm. I hate to think what it looks like the next time he takes just a clean stiff jab.

you've obviously never seen the fight, fair enough lazcano rocked him a COUPLE of time, but that was it, rest of the right it was all hatton. gift decision it was not, hatton won that one clearly

I guess the moral of the story is if you can't be number 1 at something, you should just quit.

He should quit if he dislikes boxing but if he wants to go on- why shouldn't he?

1000's of guys do. On undercards around the world. Some former champs.
                  Some not.

Nope you gotta question his chin these days he got Ko by Money Mayweather, wobbled by some dude in Manchester after that fight (cant remeber his name) but not a known puncher and then the Pacman fight. Granted that Ko punch was brutal, but every punch seemed to wobble him, Pac has some power but come on.. Diaz/Dela hoya were taking shots like that for alot longer than 2 rounds.

I blame the massive weight gain/loss between fights, the thing is he has 30 now plenty in the bank, nice wife etc. He just doesn't have the skills to adapt and his body just isn't all there.. not talking just his chin here either, he looked totally ****ed at the weigh in and just before pre fight.
