It's definitely not better to get knocked out in round 2. Ricky was just rushing in towards Pacquiao and was catching the majority of his punches so I don't think the extra rounds would have helped. It would have put Hatton in more danger.

Give it up! Each time he bought his way to an elite level bout what has been the outcome? KTFO! Love him or hate him, he sells, attribute duly respected. but to say he is/was an elite fighter is just pure bollocks mate!

So this means Hatton isn't going to hang them up just yet.

I just don't know what Hatton's game plan was. To me it didn't appear there was one. Either way, I like both of those guys, and I still like Hatton. Ricky has lost twice to the "pound for pound" best, but he has beaten eveyone else. I still don't think anyone else at junior welterweight could beat him.

Nonsense is believing he was ever an elite fighter. Beating a shot out of shape Castillo is not an accomplishment. And if the Tzyu fight wouldn't have been in england, where he was allowed to hug and wrestle, he would have lost that too. Hatton was never anything special just a fighter whose popularity exceeded his fighting ability.

Too bad, nothing can really help him that night.
