Hatton wasn't doing too bad in the second. He caught Manny with two or three good shots, that sent Manny back on his heels for a second. With a better defence, the fight would have been more interesting, as Manny himself said that Ricky hits hard. Not saying Ricky would have won, far from it, but it would have been interesting if Ricky settled into the fight more, used his head, defended more and who knows, landed a good solid shot that could have changed the make up of the fight a little bit.

Everyone always seems to think they're psychic's, but lets be realistic; we'll never know whether a few more rounds would've helped or not, basing judgements on past performances doesn't suffice to justify saying Hatton doesn't have it.

there you go, coming from the guy who didn't give the pacman a chance because ricky is too big and strong and almost as speedy with his punch and footwork. your singing a different tune now lolz. but still refuses to admit that if the fight gets longer he could be KD more and took punishment more from the stronger puncher(the PACMAN). how can u justify your comment? he cant take manny's punch u dumb ****, how can he fare better if he hadn't gotten KO'd?

If Hatton would of stuck to the proposed gameplan I could see this going a few more rounds but it would of still eneded the same way.

All credit to Roach, he said in the build up that no matter what Hatton as worked on in training that the moment Manny connects he'll revert back to his same old ways, and thats exactly what happened Manny turned it into a fight and Hatton fell straight into the trap.

All this talk of Pacman doing the same to Mayweather is rubbish and anybody saying so doesn't understand. Roach will not prepare Pacman with the same game plan for Mayweather, Mayweather is not a come forward fighter he's a counter puncher. Futhermore Mayweather is far more elusive than Hatton. I doubt it very much if Pacquiao will be able to lure Mayweather into a tear up meaning he'll have to wear mayweather down systematically if he can but that means Pacquiao has to become the come forward fighter which obviously plays into Mayweathers hands. This fight could turn out to be a very exciting clash of styles or an absolute borefest.

End of; Pacquiao Mayweather is a totally different fight, let alone the fact that Hatton is nowhere near the level of Mayweather.

Would have, Could have, Should have.... The Mayweather family can teach a lot...

There is no place in history for "would`ve`s" and etc... After one is retired only a KO loss on his record will matter. As a fan i could find many excuses for the losses of my favorite fighters, but who needs that? Not the history, and, definitely, not the boxer`s dignity...
