If Pernell Whitaker doesn't have a great resume, no one does.

Azumah Nelson, Buddy McGirt, Ramirez, Vasquez, Hurtado...

Some of his opponents have padded records. Just cuz they have a lotta wins doesn't mean they're great...

          When did that happen?

Was that around the same time he beat Margarito, Cotto and Mosley?

Do you always throw out names with no reason? Can you explain to me how Whitaker's resume is not great? What's a great resume to you?

Whitaker had an excellent resume'. He unified the lightweight division, defended it a few times and generally dominated the division like few others have.

He won titles at 140, 147 and 154 after that, beating other respected champions. His ledger boasts Azumah Nelson, Roger Mayweather, Greg Haugen, Jose Luis Ramirez, Buddy McGirt, and is generally accepted that he beat Ramirez and Chavez by wide, distinct margins. He is a great, great fighter.

Roy Jones won titles at 160, 168, unified and cleaned out 175 like no one has ever previously, and beat a top 5 heavyweight. In his career he beat Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, everyone at 175, he really did a lot of great things early in his career before he tried to cash out late (unsuccessfully).

                MONEY MAYWEATHER BABY!!!

LOL, I don't know who the standard is that makes Jones and Whitaker's resume's insufficient.

IMHO I don't see how people say he isn't top 30 All Time. He most definitely is in my book. Lineal Champ in 4 divisions at 112, 126, 130 and 140. That's something no fighter has ever done. Champ in 6 divisions: 112, 122, 126, 130, 135 and 140. And not just champ in 6 divisions but the killers he faced across those.

MAB 2X, JMM2X, Erik Morales 3X, ODLH and Ricky Hatton. Manny Pacquiao faced the best, and not just that he beat all these future Hall of Famers, but the way he beat them factors in as well. What he's done is absolutely remarkable.

Manny Pacquiao is in my top 30 ATG based on this reasoning.

Mr. Ryan where would you rank Pac at as of right now.

I aint the one to pick apart Roy's resume. I've seen others do it.

I know Pernell has a great resume but I don't know if its top 20 all time...and although he beat Chavez he doesn't have it as a win.
