Or maybe after he does, he will need to beat a new crop of names because Shane is too old, Cotto is damaged goods, and Mayweather is faded. The game is not hard to play.

Only Shane is old. Cotto's in his prime and I think Floyd is too...

            2. Muhammad Ali
            3. Henry Armstrong

            14. Rocky Marciano
            15. Jimmy Wilde
            16. Gene Tunney
            17. Mickey Walker
            19. Stanley Ketchel
            20. George Foreman
            21. Tony Canzoneri
            22. Barney Ross
            23. Jimmy McLarnin
            24. Julio Cesar Chavez
            25. Marcel Cerdan
            26. Joe Frazier
            27. Ezzard Charles
            18. Archie Moore
            28. Jake LaMotta
            29. Sandy Saddler
            30. Terry McGovern

I know some don't like this list but who on here that is notable to you outside of maybe Chavez(and he even has a billion wins) would you put Pacquiao ahead of?

And please, this thread has nothing to do with Mayweather cuz he aint in the top 30 either.
I whole-heartedly disagree with the majority of this list anyways, but even still I disagree with ranking active fighters on lists like these.

George Foreman is way too high, as is Marcel Cerdan, Stanley Ketchel, Jake Lamotta and Joe Frazier. The list seems to show a strong bias towards pop culture impact and overall sentimentality. I'm just surprised I didn't see Ray Mancini in here.

Alexis Arguello, Pernell Whitaker and Roy Jones could all be included in those fighters places.

              He may not be 10-30,

but hes easily closer to it than Mayweather ever will be.

You know he doesnt have to beat both Mosley and Cotto right?? If Pac faces Mayweather 1st....then Shane and Cotto will fight a unification bout in the meantime...and whether you like it or not...Pac would face the winner of Cotto-Mosley2 for the undisputed and lineal welterweight championship. Floyd in the meantime would retire again if he beats Pacquiao before going anywhere near Cotto or Mosley.

I don't think Whitaker has a great resume...people have picked Roy's apart before...
