WTF with the weight drained & pastprime excuse, by the time pacquiao faced them they are the top dogs of their respective division and some of them are even ranked in p4p list

I know Pernell has a great resume but I don't know if its top 20 all time...and although he beat Chavez he doesn't have it as a win.
Funny how things look different when the lights on, eh? Now you're just not sure if it's top 20 all-time. Good luck finding all those with better resumes.

Champ in 6 divisions: 112, 122, 126, 130, 135 and 140. And not just champ in 6 divisions but the killers he faced across those.

MAB 2X, JMM2X, Erik Morales 3X, ODLH and Ricky Hatton. Manny Pacquiao faced the best, and not just that he beat all these future Hall of Famers, but the way he beat them factors in as well. What he's done is absolutely remarkable.

Manny Pacquiao is in my top 30 ATG based on this reasoning.

Mr. Ryan where would you rank Pac at as of right now.
I won't say because he's still an active fighter and it's best to judge his achievements after he's retired and you can view the entire project in perspective.

I will say that being a man to branch the flyweight and junior welterweight divisions is an amazing feat and one that will never be duplicated.

Having gone through the caliber of opposition he has since 2003 with only one loss is remarkable really.

Ok, I shouldn't have said he didn't have a good resume but top 20 all time. #1-20 ever? You would place him there?

The guy who exposed Mayweather as a lying chicken sissy.

                "You'll get your shot".

Then, he conveniently retires when the welterweight division was at its hottest, while he was the champion choosing to not defend it against any actual welterweights.

Roy Jones is a figure that inspires a lot of negative feelings by the way he failed to grab the sport by the balls when he was on top. He never compelled the masses like Leonard and Pacquiao have so he catches flack. The most credible argument dissing Jones' legacy is that he never fought Michaelzcewski, and even that is laughable.

You had just said "I don't think Whitaker has a great resume". I want to know how many guys in your initial post had the resume that Whitaker boasts.
