Hatton doesn't need Witter, he should just retire. Witter has bad mouthed him all his career, imagine Hatton giving him the fight (and his biggest ever payday by a mile) and Witter KO's him. Hatton won't risk that, not unless he still thinks he's in his prime, which he isn't.
Witter is the one that needs Hatton, if Hatton did want the fight he should see if Witter really fancies it by offering him an 80/20 purse split (Hattons favour) as Witter couldn't bring enough fans to fill a phone box. If Witter wins he gets a big fight off the back of it, makes some money and gets the respect he's always been after. I think at this point Witter would probably win.
