I think he still likes to bring up that Mayweather called out Mosley at lightweight knowing damn well Mosley publicly announced he was moving up to 147 back many years ago.
There's definitely no love lost between those two. I find it very entertaining though.Comment

You know the whole time I was thinking Mayweather had called out Mosley after he lost 2x to Winky and struggled against Estrada on that ESPN PPV
with Margarito-Cintron1, Brock-McCline.
Mosley didn't look too hot against Estrada. Margarito and Mayweather called him out back then but he refused both fights.
Really, Shane Mosley has made quite a resurgence since those dog days he had back in 04-05.
It's weird how people only include parts of the history of that era.Comment

And Shane called out Mayweather in 2007 when Mayweather was pretty much signed up to fight Hatton.
With Margarito, Mayweather-DLH was still a possiblity for september and him fighting Marg on August 12th pretty much ruined that, so Mayweather waited it out.
So Merchant has no reason to be pissed because he's pretty much wrong. The only case you can make for Floyd ducking someone is Cotto, but if Floyd passed up 30 million for a DLH rematch, I'm pretty sure he just didn't feel like fighting at the time in general.Comment
