          ricky actually did get to hold paquiao at times but the ref didn't really allow it i knew the fight was over from that point on

            This is utter nonsense. Hatton didn't lose "because he wasn't allowed to hold". Hatton lost because he was poor offensively, telegraphed his punches, was too slow, his punch resistance is gone and, and this is the most important part, Manny was too good. Hatton barely attempted to hold, but he did nothing else right whatsoever.

            I think if Hatton had his punch resistance that he had earlier in his career he may have survived for long enough to start to impose his will, but he didn;'t so he couldn't and Pac capitalized.

              Bayless was right in there immediately anyway the few times they did come together. He was going to have to fight this fight on the outside so was never going to win.
