Honestly, it would depend on the circumstances. Believe it or not, Nate is not ruled by money. Sure, he wants to look out for his family and what not, but these situations here are on a totally different scale. Would Floyd take a big pay cut by fighting Shane instead of JMM? I doubt it. So he makes $8 million instead of $10 million? Cry me a river. The arguements are silly because these guys are making multi-millions of dollars anyways. If you were to ask Nate "choose between $150k for a mando, or $1.75 million for a mega-fight, then thats an easy choice. But if you asked him to choose between $3 million for fighter A, or $5 million for fighter B, he would take the fight that was thought to be the more credible, regardless of the extra money.

And remember, Marquez did something similar a while back. He turned down $750k for a Pac rematch, and took a loss from Chris John instead for no money. But it wasnt because Chris John was perceived as more credible. It was because Nacho wanted $1.5 for the Pac rematch, and couldnt get it at the time. lol

I believe this, but what if Nate felt he had already fought the best, beat them, already proven himself many times over, then isnt it time to make the most to secure your family? I think this is the worst sport of any to actually "do it for the fans" considering you can die in the ring, I think boxing has a way of choosing its occupants rather than the opposite, in the fact that boxing is a hard way to make a living. Floyd doesnt get credit for anyone he beats and its probably turned him sour(this happened to Vernon Forrest some years back). But I think anything Floyd does out of weight classes he really doesnt belong in are icing on the cake and should be looked upon as daring instead of the reaction he gets for not fighting guys who actually belong at classes above 147(even though this fight is at a catchweight). Trust me if Miguel went to 168, his fifth class and fought contenders Id take my hat off to the guy.
