I think the "competitive weight" part of your statement is where alot of people might disagree. It's 8 pounds north of Marquez' highest weight, a weight that he was actually only at for his last 2 fights.

JMM vs Mayweather

This seems to be a tune up fight for FM in looking forward to a mega-fight with Many Paquiao. It is however, premature to believe that this fight will be a walk in the park for FM. FM could not KO Baldomir. He Ko'd Hatton but really, is Ricky Hatton a true boxer like Marquez? Do not forget that the only fighter that #1 P4P Paquio had troubled with was Marquez. FM does not posses a ko punch like paquaio. Marquez has a decent chin. As far as defense, FM may have the advantage here. Offense though, I think they are at the same level. Marquez is #2 P4P and is not over rated. I personally give Marquez a good chance to win this fight. Looking forward to see it.

What pisses me off is most the people I know could give 2 ****s about boxing but all claim to be Mayweather fans. It's rediculous, like all of them saw an episode of the Mayweather/DLH 24/7 on HBO & were hooked. Half of these types are probably the same ones on here with Floyd avatars & ***** little signatures with him.

I've watched him for years, and enjoyed his fights but as soon as it became a fad and it was "cool" to be a Mayweather fan I decided that was enough. Ironically enough the more his popularity increased the more cherry picking & ducking he began doing.
