****** analogy roach didnt teach arlovski to throw a flying knee. But i say mayweather is the better technical coach like producing olympic caliber boxers. While roach is more of a mentor.people think Roach is so great just cus he trains manny to kill a bunch of geriatric pre-retirement mexican ex-champs, but they forget how many other fighters roach has or had that all lost or were brutally KTFO. they forget the countless promises roach made that were all proved untrue.
I mean **** just last week Roach was in Gerry Penelosa's corner when Juanma dominated and destroyed him. Roach was the one that threw in the towel.
And remember when Roach started training Andrei Arlovsky in boxing a few months ago and it was hailed as such a big thing in UFC because here was one of boxing's greatest trainers training the UFC guy how to box. Roach boasted and bragged for months that under his tutelage Arlovsky had become such a great boxer that he would not only easily dispose of Fedor Emelianenko in his upcoming bout but that he would bring him into boxing and that Arlovski was going to beat the Klitschkos because that's how good he was. Supposedly he was so far superior to Fedor in the stand up game due to Roach's 'immaculate' tutelage that the only chance Fedor stood was on the ground.
Well unfortunately for Roach and his 'impeccable' training techniques this is what happened to Arlovski in the first round against Fedor:

Floyd's not a natural in technique; that was taught to him since he was a kid.
What is "Natural" is his athletic ability which came from Sr. who not only supplied the genes, but brought out the best in him.
Tyson had the physical gifts but he wasn't a natural boxer. The technique and intelligence you saw Tyson display from 18-22 was from his Catskill training. Atlas talked about this as well in the "Ring-Side Mike Tyson."
Tyson even mentioned when he was younger that he saw the Champions of the past and thought they were born like that, but found out they had train to be that good...just like he was doing.
Once Tyson left Rooney...what happened?

that's pure bull**** alot of people say "oh arlovski was dominating fedor until the knockout" PLEASE!! the fight only lasted like a minute prior to the knockout that's like the same people that say Zab Judah was dominating Tszyu prior to the KTFO. What a joke arlovski didn't land **** of consequence on fedor and just because he backed him up once to the ropes with some missed punches doesn't mean **** the result is still brutal fedor KTFO him easily.Comment
