I want to see numbers, if its not more than 500k, why not take the Hopkins fight?

I agree.I was really hoping to see Hopkins put up another great fight. It looks as if Adamek's people will settle for a no name opponent as opposed to Glen Johnson or Hopkins.Adamek should fight Hopkins (even if it is only half a million),just to get a bigger profile and attempt to be the man to put him away (although I actually see Hopkins winning that match).
Why does everyone who seen Dawson vs Johnson give insults to Chad for not giving a rematch, but when Adamek hasn't rematched Cunningham (has no intentions to from what i can tell) there is silence...

How much money was needed to make Adamek-Johnson? Showtime should have dug it up since they don't have another big fight until Darchinyan-Agbeko.

Besides Godfrey; Ross and Flores could be candidates for this fight. And its shame Adamek will have fought twice before USS has even gotten a fight in eliminator w/ Braithwaite whois under same promoter.

What's up Scully? Nice to see a solid and credible professional posting on Boxingscene. To my knowledge you are the only professional boxer I've seen to date posting on here.

Now that Pacquiao Hatton is a couple days away, do you see Pacquiao still taking it? I put $300 on Ricky Hatton today to win by KO/TKO as I believe he has the ability to cut off the ring and put Pacquiao on the back foot, something that I see as his greatest vulnerability. Remember how Erik Morales did it in his first fight with Pacquiao? I'd like to get your thoughts on it.

Why is Adamek fighting guys who aren't ready for a fight like this. Godfrey is at least 3 fights away from being ready for a title shot. If no network wanted to air Johnson vs Adamek, there is no way they would pick up Adamek-Godfrey...The fight doesn't make much sense.

C'Mon John you know us media types, all we need is a rumor and things are 99% true 37% of the time. Knowing what BJ got offered for Adamek's first defense, I hope they don't extend that to Matt. Otherwise I'm sure there would be no fight. If this fight goes down, It's a good fight for the division. Matt is a smart boxer who uses distance and angles well. He does lack elite pop and we have yet to see his chin tested (that honestly is a testament to his defense) and Adamek will be sure to try to expose both attributes. If matt can take a punch and keep up with Adamek's pressure then this is winnable fight. But that is same gameplan for everyone who has to fight Tomasz, we all what it takes to beat and how to do so, but only Chad Dawson has had all the tools and even he almost didn't make it out. I will look forward to it happening even if it's just a rumor.

P.S. John, you going to be one of those guys in the background jumping around like a fool for no apparent reason when Matt makes weight? Nice blog earlier

Adamek is a great all action fighter, its a shame HBO only cares about Golden Boy, Al Haymon fighters, or just the old names. HBO's production of the fights is top notch but the choosing of the fights is a disgrace sometimes. Showtime has really impressed me lately but they should've found room for this fight. Its not that expensive, Johnson and Adamek needs to be made, and this is a real shame.

There are easier opponents in the IBF cruiserweight rankings than Godfrey, such as Hernandez and the shot Chris Byrd.

I think BJ Flores would be a softer opponent too than Godfrey, who's a solid, durable fighter with an excellent amateur background.
