How the **** does Hatton become p4p#1 even if he does beat Pac?

Tarver was #24 in the rankings before facing RJJ and he moved to #3 after beating him. Pretty damn big jump, if he was in the top 10 he would have gone to #1 IMO

Doubt it seeing as Hopkins was still undisputed Middleweight Champ at the time.

thought he was in WWE v Urango
looked good v Castillo
got schooled and ko'd v Mayweather
struggled v Lazcano who had been retired nearly two years

So even if he does beat a former flyweight who is fighting for the first time at 140 (im not putting too much emphasis on DLH win) how does that make him p4p#1? Am i the only person who thinks he should beat the other champs at 140 first or at least Timothy Bradley before we even talk like that?

i don't think hatton can ever be #1 unless he beats mayweather (haha), he was exposed in that fight as not being a full fledged elite fighter.

I completely agree, unless he beats Bradley and also prove that he can move up in weight like most other fighters you'd consider great (i mean its one reason why they are considered great right?) and avenge his loss to Mayweather he can never be p4p#1, i personally dont think he would get past Ortiz
