      Joe Calzaghe is a great name to mention. The man only retired a minute ago.

            Froch is a great fighter because;

            - He's calling out Calzaghe.
            - He's a world champion
            - Willing to fight anyone to prove it
            - Entertaining to watch

            I don't care if Calzaghe is retired, even if he was still active now - Froch would call him out. Froch is only calling out Calzaghe for recognition, recognition he doesn't get for being an undefeated world champion.

            I think Froch gets a lot of disrespect because;

            - He's not an American fighter
            - His style is very dangerous
            - Hasn't beaten a lot of top SMWs

            Which makes Froch so great to follow/watch. He has the heart to be the best.

                You have more Brits on this forum disrespecting Froch than Americans. The rest of your post is dead on tho.

                  Probably because he is always up joe calzaghes ass, and when joe calzaghe has told him multiple times to leave him the **** alone and let the 37-38 year old man retire in peace.

                    My point about him not being American is more related to the chances he could of had and a little more recognition.

                    Being a fighter outside of America is tough and going to America as a world champion at the age of 31 is even harder. If Froch lost, his 'career' in America would have probably been lost.

                    Maybe if Froch had gone to America earlier, Like McEwan has and Khan. Perhaps he'd have fought the likes of Kessler by now..

                    But with the British disrespecting.. I put that down to a lot of them being Calzaghe fans.

                      Why would you want anybody else is exactly right. Cherish him and let his career dominate right now since he is the champ instead of hoping for someone else to come along and take it way. Until next time its KO2you
