Skillwise, I have not seen anyone that I can say is "better" than Mayweather.

However i could name easily name a few fighters who are certainly not worse either.

That does not mean that they are all tied, but I don't have enough evidence to rate them. And honestly, 90% of ppl who are doing it here are jsut clowning.

TALENTwise Jones is untouchable, and I probably rate him #1 all time in terms of physical gifts.

roy's pure physical gifts is stuff floyd jr. can only dream of.

          Prime Hopkins was pretty limited.

Only when he got past his prime did he learn all the tricks that he uses to absolutely embarrass his opposition.

You think prime Hopkins would have done that well against Pavlik? No... it would have been a war where Pavlik had plenty of good moments.
very few guys are ever in their physical and technical prime together.

generally guys depend on their physical tools and don't start improving technically 'til they get older.

the young hopkins' body with the old hopkins' smarts would have been a very scary fighter.

It's lovely to remember Roy so fondly. So do I. But the reality is that Roy was taking policemen deep into fights. In fact, didn't he get floored by an off-duty cop? When Floyd had bum competition, he shut them fools down.

But I will eternally ****-ride Roy Jones. I have a custom built shaft-saddle with specialized nut harnesses. And this is solely for the beating he laid on Vinny Pazienza. I detest Vinny Pazienza.

God bless you, Roy. You will always have a place in my heart.

People get all apoplectic about Floyd fighting who or what weight whatever. What pisses me off is that I never got to see a prime Floyd fighting at his best weights.

I'm talking 2005-2008 and fighting at 135-140. That would have been great.
Imagine the guy who fought Gatti in June 2005 staying at JWW and fighting Hatton, Cotto, etc.

Of course to the layman(or black supremacist) guys like Floyd and Judah look talented, but at the end of the day a fighter needs trial by fire.
So you think only black ppl think Floyd and Judah look talented? A bet if Floyd was painted white a white supremacist would say he was talented as hell. THINK.

Toney was 44-0 and a damn killer and Roy made him look bad.

Floyd did fight Castillo and eked out a decision. And DLH and eked out a split decision.

He did beat the **** out of jail-bound Chico Corrales. And Hatton.

I like Roy's resume more overall.
