People saying Jones are nuts. No way in hell.
On pure boxing skill Floyd is on a different level to Roy. Sure Roy had mad skills but it was those skills combined with his freakish athletic ability that made him so great. Based purely on raw boxing skills, it is Floyd over Roy all day.
I also think Floyd had better pure skills than Leonard to be honest. Sure Sugar was a very, very skillful guy but again, I think natural athletic ability played a big role in how good he was. Moreso than is the case with Mayweather.
The buck stops with Pea IMO. Whitaker's skillset was superior to Floyd's I think.Comment

Man.... I am just going to leave it at that. 2 letters: DM. And I would have still picked Roy to beat him. However the existence of DM makes it hard to back up your claim.fighters in BOLD are fighters who roy fought at least once.
as you can see , the only significant fighter that roy didn't fight that was a top ranked light heavyweight during roy's reign was darius michalczewski.

By the way, this can be a very deceptive exercise. 2006 was floyd's first full year at WW. This is how the division looked:
2006
Floyd Mayweather Jr., Champion
Antonio Margarito
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
Miguel Angel Cotto
Zab Judah
Luis Collazo
Kermit Cintron
Oktay Urkal
Arturo Gatti
Paul Williams
