What is wrong with allowing someone to be apart of their roots? Many African Americans know nothing about their origins. The name is not good enough, they need to research.

Maybe I confused you with the distinction thing, because it is hard to explain. But in short, I don't see why we always need to add on that African part. Whenever I hear it on the news it just seems so damn fake, some white people seem afraid that if they say "black", it will offend people.
