Hatton is the bigger man (he is much thicker, although truth be told Manny has the better boxing body long and lean).

I would mainly consider Hatton the bigger man because he is really tested at the bigger weights, while really Manny is an unknown above 135 (Diaz was not a great 135 pounder and the Oscar fight was what it was and really nothing should be extrapolated from it).

Its hard to say.No two people are the same.A lot has been made about this business of Ricky being the naturally stronger man,but I am not sure about that.

What Pacman has done is to come up in weight and look comfortable at every stop whereas Ricky seemingly cant make that jump up 7lbs to welter.I also dont buy the argument that Pacman is weaker, because he is the type of guy who looks after himself.

Ricky has only shown the inclination to do this since being with Floyd.Lets not forget that Ricky would regularly go out on the piss with Billy Graham.

In short,I think that anyone that thinks Ricky is much stronger could well be in for a surprise when they are actually in the ring together.

I like the point you are making about the weight increase for Hatton BUT wouldn't you say that Hatton's style involves more physical contact, strength and overpowering your opponent?

Manny's style as he's moved up is still a speed, boxing and staying outside tagging the other person game, where if you are smart, for the most part you can use that and athleticism to nullify the weight advantages of your opponent.

They'll weight the same but he's just thicker and a bit wider...naturally (bigger) and probably stronger.....so that might factor in, no?

LOL. Pacquiao was only 16 when he turned pro. A male doesn't stop growing until he's around 25, although being poverty stricken and not eating properly will surely affect your weight.
