If he wins, honestly I think the media will say Pacquiao was too small. There is ALWAYS an excuse whenever someone loses. Pacquiao will get HUGE credit for this win if he pulls it off, and Hatton will also get a lot of credit, but there will be more naysayers if Hatton pulls it out.

I mean, Pacquiao looked sensational against DLH, but there are a LOT of people (myself included) who don't look at that performance as highly as others do for the simple fact that DLH was so drained and whatnot coming into the fight.

I truly do think Manny is the best P4P boxer in the world, and he's a truly great fighter, but I think coming into this fight he may be just a little bit overrated. His wins over Diaz and De La Hoya are against a C+ Lightweight and a 36 year old weight-drained version of Oscar De La Hoya who could barely move, let alone punch.

Ricky Hatton is a very strong, physical 140 pounder, and Pacquiao is going to realize what it's like very early on that the strength factor will be a huge difference.

~Ironfist was his recently banned alt., right?

That one used to be called Canada Joe/Sirius until it was outed, at which point it became boxing_psycho/boxing.prospect/Boogie_Nights (a parody of user boxing_prospect/Boogie Nights, at the height of his feud with ~Tunney).

Then after a time, he dropped all pretence and that account became interchangeable with his master account (now known as ~Tunney), before being brutally banned in April 2009.

There was another account which began life as Carlos7775, morphed into derranged. (a parody of user Derranged, at the height of his feud with ~Tunney) and morphed again into mt102819 (a parody of user mt102879, at, you guessed it, the height of his feud with ~Tunney), whereupon it was brutally banned in February 2009.

I know, it's confusing. But I observed it all as it happened.

His earliest known account is Steelhammer86, which predates his currently active master account by some 9 months. It was brutally banned in August 2007.

Here is a list of known ~Tunney alts.
      • 03-20-2007 Steelhammer86 [status : banned 8/07]
      • 12-04-2007 Tunney / Ironfist! / .Ironfist. / Hector of Troy / ~Tunney / Gene Tunney / Marciano 49-0 / Canada Joe [status : active 4/09]
      • 05-12-2008 Canada Joe / Sirius / boxing_psycho / boxing.prospect / Boogie_Nights / Marciano 49-0 / Tunney / ~Ironfist [status : banned 4/09]
      • 10-07-2008 Carlos7775 / derranged. / mt102819 [status : banned 2/09]

As you can see, all of them bar his master account have been banned.

Now, my point is that ~Tunney, like anyone else here, may indeed have any number of alt. accounts hidden away. But he isn't behind the accounts you think he is. Like Vit ****s. I know for a stone fact that Vit ****s isn't him.

For example, last week there was an article on The Ring website by Michael Rosenthal, bashing Hatton and saying he's not really that good.

Will they be fair to Hatton, or will they go on about him being bigger? He's actually just a little guy, close to the same size as Pacquiao. It seems so ****** to me when they call him "big"...
They'll never be fair to the British fighters.

As much as Americans love the income and interest which the British fans bring, they don't like to be second best to their European counterparts, especially the United Kingdom.

I'll actually be looking forward to Froch's next fight... his lack of defense, but determination, chin and power make him exciting to me...

no not good for Ricky, he's an American ref.

We've seen how refs change their reffing style to suit certain fighters. Pacquiao is worth more to HBO than Hatton.

I'll never forget the terribly biased refereeing by Joe Cortez in the Hatton-Floyd fight. Even Roy Jones said on ESPN he was not being fair to Hatton.
Roy Jones isn't the only one, there is a long list of fighters who said what Cortez did was unfair. However posters on boxing scene don't want to acknowledge this, preferring to believe their great American champion won a fair contest, however it wasn't a fair contest, it was anything but.

Hatton should get credit as PAC.
