Will Hatton be given credit if he defeats Pacquiao?

This may seem like a ****** question at first glance, but some American sports writers and commentators (Max Kellerman, Eric Raskin, Michael Rosenthal) have always been very negative about Ricky Hatton, and they've always discredited his wins.

For example, last week there was an article on The Ring website by Michael Rosenthal, bashing Hatton and saying he's not really that good.

Will they be fair to Hatton, or will they go on about him being bigger? He's actually just a little guy, close to the same size as Pacquiao. It seems so ****** to me when they call him "big"...

      No, because he's not American.

should have did that a long time ago.

I hope the American media gives credit if Hatton beats Manny. I think we as US fans do not catch on to the greats from overseas especially if the majority of their careers have been fought there until it's too late. I think a lot of us missed a chance to follow Calzaghe closer and to be honest appreciate his career more.

hopefully that doesn't happen with Hatton because he has been good for the sport inspite of whether you dig his style or not. He has always been an everyday sort and has always brought humor and a bit of humility to what he does

He will get some credit, but I think he will never get the credit he deserves just because he lost to PBF..
