I saw people on here talk about Oscar-Hopkins and Oscar-Pac. What are you guys talkin about? 1st off, no one gave Hopkins credit because Oscar was a joke. He's not top 2 P4P like JMM. Oscar was straight garbage when he fought Hopkins and Hopkins was the #1 guy in boxing who was one of the dominant MW's ever. Oscar had been looking like he was shot and mostly everyone felt like he just lost to Sturm. How is that the same thing at all?
Then you talk about Oscar-Pac. Anyone who thinks thats the same as Floyd-JMM are fools. Oscar was at 154 for a million years while Pac was a LW. Oscar was like 7 feet tall compared to Pac. Oscar made Pac look so short in the ring. Oscar has came in the ring at nearly 170 before. If you guys seriously think that is the same as Floyd-JMM then you are crazy. Floyd is like an inch taller then JMM. Floyd weighs nearly the same exact thing as JMM on fight night. Floyd hasnt fought in nearly 2 years.
So let me get this straight. Everyone and there momma thinks that Floyd will enhance his legacy with a Pac win but he wont enhance it one bit by beating a guy who alot of people think is P4P #1 and beat Pac twice? Come on now. Hopkins is now fighting at LHW while Oscar spent most of his time at 154. Oscar has fought at MW while Pac was at LW. Sure Floyd went to 154 but he weighed in at only 150 because it was a mandate and came into the ring at the same thing he did at WW. Those 2 comparisons are so apples & oranges. If the fight happeneds then we'll see how history shows it but I bet anything that you guys will be wrong

I'll give him credit for the win but a little some something, regardless, P4P this would still be a mismatch/ tune up. It don't matter

This thread is soooo funny to me. Just because I make a thread, doesnt mean that I stay on it forever. I made this thread yesterday or last night. I dont even remember. I made it and that was it. I dont always make threads so I can debate everyone. I let my opinion be known and let you talk it out of you want. Sometimes Im on it again and sometimes Im not. Its funny because I hear people saying that Warp owns me or that I have no response when I never even looked at this thread again until just now. The only reason why I looked on it was because someone pulled it back up again. If it hadnt been for that, I wouldnt even known what you guys were saying, yet somehow you seriously thought you were owning me. Thats too funny.
Then I come on it and I still didnt read all the responses. I read like the 1st pargraph of what Warp wrote and then I responded to that. My plan was to respond to you personaly and then make another response for the whole board on my thoughts. Thats why I wrote about not knowing who you were and then I made the very next post about the difference between those fights. Whats even more funnier is that after I do this, I see Warp and Weins talking about how weak my 1st response was and how that proves what Warp was saying when I wasnt even going to respond about the boxing part in that post. The next post was going to be about the boxing part but youre so quick to prove your point that you didnt even notice it. Thats so funny.
Still even with all that, I hadnt read all of Warp's 1st original post. I actually didnt feel like reading it because it was too long and Im tired of going over it. You might say thats funny coming from me but I never demand people to read my threads or post. Its long and if you want to read it then fine and if you dont then fine. Who cares? People cry on here all the time about my post like you guys have to read it. Just dont read it. It doesnt bother me one bit. Like I said, half the time I dont even check back on it. As for the rest of Warps OP, I will respond like this. I already talked about the other fights in my other post so you can check that. so you are really trying to say that JMM loses all those things when he moved up in weight but Floyd still has all his? Everyone says all the time that he looks nothing like he did at the lower weights and all he does is pot shot now. Oscar even said before there fight that Floyd isnt the same guy at WW. He said that Floyd is slower now and that he thinks because of that, Floyd's speed wont be a factor. I also think that the black or dark skin stuff does matter. Thats what Jackson was just talking about. Even Dougie Fischer who is always biased against these guys said that he thinks JMM could struggle against Floyd because he didnt look good against the other black fighter in Norwood who could move. If Floyd wins my point is that everyone wont put it on weight like you think they will. They will say that he's just a better fighter and a more skilled fighter. They will say that size doesnt matter as much and that those guys may wouldve had more losses if they wouldve fought the black or darker skin guys. I bet Floyd even brings it up when he's hyping the fightLast edited by DLT; 04-29-2009, 06:25 PM.

^^^^^^^^
So, your argument is that you state your opinion, but are unable to defend it past the original authorship of a thread?
Also, are you on drugs or brain dead? You don't remember a thread you made yesterday?
It's an awful waste of time for us to read your threads if you just hit and run in your threads without any intent on trying to discuss an issue past your original opinion.

Does it really matter if Floyd hasn't fought in 2 years? Oh boy, look everyone he fought and beat someone he was expected to beat even after a 2 year layoff!

The reason why Oscar and Hopkins were brought up because it's a type of fight where Hopkins gets pretty much no credit for beating a smaller man. You bring up a interesting point on how people regard higher of JMM now, but the fact remains it still doesn't increase Mayweather's legacy that much.

I'm one the guy's who had David Haye getting spunked on as an avatar, and yet El's Floyd sig is too **** even for me.
Anyway, DLH at MW>JMM at WW.
I'm serious, by the way. DLH achieved more at MW and JMW than JMM did at WW and JWW.
You guys need to stop going on about 'P4P'. It doesn't matter how highly a magazine rates JMM, the FACT is that he is not proven at WW or even the weight below it.
There is nothing to prove that JMM would beat Collazo or Quintana or even those random Ukrainians who keep fighting each other for one of the ABC belts. So why should a win over him be worth more than a win over them? What, you don't think Collazo could beat Juan Diaz and Casamayor?
Beating JMM at welterweight is worth about as much as beating Meldrick Taylor at middleweight.
