Well then you need to watch more fights. You also have to consider what Moorer was doing to Foreman before he got KO'd...but of course, what he didn't do which got him Knocked out. What did he not do? He didn't listen to Atlas despite the drilling he received in training and Atlas calling out to Moore to not stand in front of him moments before the punch. And the fact despite his age, Foreman was a freak of nature.

For Tua: Big puncher (against a former LH) at the very end of his career.

But things do stick with many fans: Some may remember more about Tyson post-Rooney and especially post-prison then anything else.

If Hatton doesn't win against Pac, he will be remembered for getting knocked out and bouncing off the ring-post...as well as his fight with Pac.

Lewis: barely pulling out a victory in his last fight and many seem to think he was lucky that the fight was stopped on cuts.

    Tszyu: Quitter

    And so on....

Not how I see it though.

Back to Moorer as an influence at Wild Card:

I'm not there so you would have to ask someone who is there all the time.

I'm just wondering if Freddie brought Moorer in because he can be his muscle.

Freddie is too nice. That gym isn't orderly. And I think sparring should be more private.

Moorer isn't a bad trainer in his own right. He was training JD Chapman a while back and JD was actually learning ****. Michael is a little bit laid back to be honest when he is one on one with a fighter. He got bounced from training JD and then Briggs because he was an alcoholic, not because he couldn't train. The problem with Moorer (besides being a drunk...used to be) is that he is so damn stubborn. He knew what to do to Foreman, but he refused to be swayed because he was having so much success. Moorer needs focus just as much as Manny does, and Michael knows what happens when you lose it, you lose everything. I think it's a good coupling for Roach and Moorer, and they both can learn from each other. Oh, if there was any depth or prestige to the LHW or CW weightclasses when Moorer fought then he could've been considered the greatest ever to fight at those weights. The man was a monster puncher at LHW. Emmanuel Steward always talks about how hard he hit.

Moorer doesn't seem as much of a head case as he does just a total prick. He sounds like an *******, he doesn't give Big George credit for knocking him the f**k out. To this day he still claims it was a lucky punch.

I think it was because Moorer didn't buy into Foreman's claims that it was a setup and his plan all along. Moorer probably views the obvious: he made the mistake and Foreman capitalized on it...which is boxing. But what George did is exactly what Atlas told Moorer he would try to do and want him to fall into...and Moorer, despite being drilled in training camp about it and being warned by Atlas right before the punch, Moorer made a crucial mistake; he stood in front of Foreman. He could have won that fight if he would have just listened and continued to box while moving. So for Moorer, Foreman was lucky he {Moorer} allowed his ego to get in the way and make a mistake that he knew not to do beforehand.
Moorer must have felt embarrassed that he made such a mistake while knowing the answer.

I think a lot of that Moorer stuff (such as being bossy at the bar) was just playing it up "for the cameras".

Imagine if Roach gave Tyson a job, it wouldn't be long before him and Moorer came to blows.
