Its sad to see, but he is headed in the same direction as Meldrick Taylor.

The beating he took from Kelly Pavlik ended his prime.
So how do you explain the fact that he looked so much better in the rematch with Pavlik than he had done in their first fight?

He just has stamina problems, always has and always will. He reminds me of Frank Bruno is that respect (not skill-wise of course, but just in the sense that Bruno was always super-fit but lacked stamina).

Maybe it's to do with the way he's built, or maybe it's to do with not being able to cope mentally with being under pressure, and the mental pressure making him physically tired. Even then, if he had learnt how to tie up opponents when tired, or how to get on his bicycle like De La Hoya did in the last three rounds against Trinidad, then he'd have won. But he's never learnt how to do that, which for such a skilled boxer is weird - but that flaw has nothing to do with physical primes.

Not sure if the trainer is to blame, but there is clearly something wrong with Taylor. He has good talent, but he's never put it together, never developed a killer instinct, never gotten rid of his technical flaws, never improved his stamina.

I guess he'll never live up to his abilities. He'll always be a waste who loses to bums he has no business losing to.

Froch and Pavlik are limited but to call them bums is ridiculous, and pointlessly disrespectful. If you look at who Taylor has beaten, and at how easily he beat Lacy, you have to have certain special qualities that most fighters don't have in order to beat him .

The one quality that he lacks is heart. He really dissapointed me tonight, there were plenty of times that he didn't capitalize.

He didn't do better in the second fight. Jermain Taylor nut hugger like to say he did good, but he didn't. He ran all night.

Meldrick Taylor also snatched a few titles after Chavez, but his prime was over.

Taylor had the fight won he should have been careful in the 12th. You are fighting a guy like Froch who is known 4 his power obviously he will try everything to knock you out in the 12th when he is obviously behind on the score cards. Cong**** to Froch, I would like to see him figth Kessler and see how that would turn out but i guess Kessler will be to busy fighting someone with a 4-18 record!!!

Yes Taylor did do better in the second fight. For one, he didn't get KO'd. He was definitely the better boxer that night, but he fought in spots, and Pavlik outworked him. That was the difference i the second. it doesn't take a Taylor nuthugger (do any really exist?) to understand that.

Froch was virtually overlooked by Taylor as an easy touch..
Just some bloke from England who struggled to win a vacant title against some bloke from Canada.. Let's face it, hardly anyone in the US gave him a cat in hells chance..
Well it looks like Taylor is done at top level now, compliments of Carl Froch..
Now, you can all expect another big surprise when David Haye lifts the HW title, but in half the time..

You must regard 99% of boxing experts as being Taylor nut huggers then, they almost all said they were impressed by his improvement in the second fight.

                      Oh jesus.....

Why end there? Taylor beats Hopkins then gets Ko'd by Pavlik who is then schooled by Hopkins.

In other words each fight is different and styles make fights, its not who beat who first.
