If he was not trying to make a racist comment, he was wrong because it ended up being so. There were not much black fighters at the lower weight classes who were atop the division and had the drawing power like Morales, Barrera and Marquez. Not a very classy comment by Jackson.

btw in case someone wants to say campbell was ducked by pacquiao at 135.

campbell only beat juan diaz 3 months before pacquiao's david diaz fight. the david diaz fight was planned before manny even fought marquez for the 130 championship. campbell was not in the upper echelons of the 135 division 'til he beat juan considering guys like casa , juan , david , julio and santa cruz were all rated before him.

im sorry, diaz was picked because he was the easiest target, if pac was that serious about fighting someone, he wouldnt have picked the weakest possible champion at 135 and then left the division never to return. Campbell has been in the upper esechelon of that division since he upset kid diamond aand got his career back on track.

he had 3 fights at 126. the #1 and the #2 guy. (barrera , marquez)

joan guzman didn't make the top 10 rankings at 126 'til 2005 when manny already jumped to 130.

from 2005 to the beginning of 2008 manny fought 5 fights at 130 against barrera (#1 'til manny jumped to 130) , morales (#2 at 130 when they started their trilogy) and marquez (#2 behind manny who was #1).

joan guzman didn't become the top ranked 130-lber 'til after manny , marco , erik or juanma either left the division or retired.

to say manny ducked guzman is idiotic. same for those who say he ducked valero.
