It's no 'sham' Roy beat Hopkins now just because Roy lost to Calz ...who Hop also lost to anyway... that doesn't take away the fact that Roy is 1-0 against Hopkins.

Clearly Hopkins is not 'afraid' of Jones but he didn't want the fight as bad as he acted or he would have just taken the deal at some point.

Jones not giving Toney his rematch makes more sense being that Toney lost to some lesser talent soon after their match.

60/40 made all the sense in the world. Roy already beat Hopkins and was the P4P best in the world and lineal LHW champ. Tell me how 50/50 was reasonable at the time?

You just proved my point. It makes more sense and he can make more money and get more credit for avenging the loss however, he declines to fight Jones who is more credible. What does that tell an intelligent boxing fan?

Besides, it's Roy Jones who said he is not "intrested" in facing Hopkins, and it's Roy Jones who has messed up negotiations everytime.

He seems to incline to facing D-Level opposition like Lacy.

Wow man, some people on these boards just dont have a clue
................You fail and have obviously NOT been reading the main headlines on this site. Go freshen up son.

And as far as negotiating, Hopkins has always priced himself out of a Jones fight. Roy simply understands that he doesn't really want to fight him. Much like he didn't really want a fight with Adamek , otherwise he would have offered him more than a chumps sum of 500k. Now call me a liar.

No, but it could be a bigger money fight.

Funny how somebody who has 24 posts can come on here and call me an idiot and state what he did in the pink highlighted sentence and then say "theres a video here of roy jones before the calzaghe fight he wont give hopkins or taylor a rematch." Watch out sonny, before I own you for real.

I respect him for saying that as it is true. He could have fought and battered Roy Jones and people would hail him for his dramatic revenge victory and sht.
Understood, but how does that bring credibility to a Trinidad fight? I feel like most of you are missing the point.

Hopkins dosen't have the workrate to pressure Roy. I still think Hopkins might win but it would be competetive, styles makes fight. Hopkins dosen't want this low reward fight that he can possibly loose.
That's exactly my point. And he avoided the fight before Jones was faded because he knew he would lose to him again.
