You may look at it as if the fight makes all this money, but I think it's safe to say people have come to terms that Tito isn't the star he once was. If Floyd were REALLY to make this fight (which I don't think he's going to do), his stock would go down like crazy.

Or let me ask you this, why doesn't he fight Bernard Hopkins? He's an active bigger guy.
floyd can fight bhop if he wanted too.. i wouldnt be against it.
like i said before I do not require Mayweather to stay in 1 division and fight every up and comer their is ....Because he has already did that at 130.
when he stayed there for 27 fights.

    As of Right Now.
I just want to see Mayweather fight Big Names reguardless the weight class.
from 140-160 i just dont care about him being in 1 division.

and The point of this thread was

do you guys think that a fight between floyd and tito fight was discussed between don king and floyd....

because what else would they talk about

I just want him to enhance his legacy by making history.

History would be if he went and got himself a middleweight title
History would be if he went and became a lineal champion @ 154
History would be if he went and became a lineal champion @ 140

Those are the kind of fights i want to see him in.

Because at the end of the day every division has a Joshua Clottey and a Miguel Cotto. But every division does not have a Juan Manuel Marquez, or a Manny Pacquiao.

and I want to see Mayweather fights with proven great fighters reguardless the weightclass.

Well considering he has been fighting at WW the last few years i would hope that he would want to fight true TOP welters. the hypocrisy is just unreal wanting to move him up in weight. If he doesnt want to fight welters fine i actually have no problem with that but then dont go around saying your the best welter in the world and make yourself look bad by wanting to fight at that weight against non-welters. If he wants to fight JMM fine but dont do it at 144-147, fight at the proper division for both fighters which could be from 135-140! If he wants to move up and fight other fighters more power to him but i'm just tired of the excuses people set for him for not fighting the best! They put Mayweather before the sport and that as a long time boxing fan makes me sick...

Well that's what separates a FAN from someone who actually WORKS within Mayweather's camp, you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. But you mentioning a fight with Tito is just absurd. Logically, there's gotta be a catch weight. How far do you think Floyd is gonna go up to fight Tito? Because Tito is NOT coming down below 170 (believe that). It's a pipe dream man.

If you believe Floyd can fight anyone at any weight class, is it safe to say that you'd be for either of these fights with Floyd ACTUALLY having a chance to win?

        Floyd vs BHop
        Floyd vs Chad Dawson
        Floyd vs Jermain Taylor
        Floyd vs Thomas Adamek

Mayweather shouldn't have no interest in Tito.

Tito is way past it and does nothing for Mayweather except give him a easy win and a good payday. Oh wait i forgot Mayweather likes them sort of fights.

Don't bother saying Tito is a good fight for Floyd because he is way bigger because the weight means **** all at this stage of their careers.

          Tito should be retired.

Mayweather called himself THE BEST welterweight in the world because he was.
He was the lineal champion and rated #1 in the division...
that means he was the best welterweight in the world.

But he'll go up in weight to fight Tito Trinidad who hasn't won a fight in how many years and can't make weight below 170?

DURAN STARTED AT LIGHTWEIGHT AND WENT ALL THE WAY UP TO SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT.

I am not coddling Mayweather...Floyd can do what he wants.
he has no restrictions from me....
If Floyd feels he can beat dawson at a catchweight..
then you know what why not try it...

I do not give floyd restrictions say all he has to stay at one weight class...when i know he stayed at one weight class fOR 70% of his career.

At this point I just want to see floyd fight Great fighters and big names...
                  not up and comers.

                  PERIOD.

As a tune up yeh. He's been out a year and a half. So has Tito.

What you want him to fight, Mosley, Cotto, Williams who have had fights this year and last. And dont forget, they wont be fighting untill atleast september, hence they are all unavailable.

Boxing aint like football where its 1 year thing. Here the greats defend their status-championship against the top talent in the division. He did none of that so which is why he's not a great WW yet which i would imagine was floyd's goal!
