floyd was doing a lot of the holding and slipping underneath hattons arms ending up in a headlock kinda position or behind/to the side of hatton. while i think cortez in the early rounds interfered too much there were only 2 maybe 3 actual unjustified breaks, at least imo. ya early he coulda let themselves workout of the clinches more and he was extremely quick on breaking them up but many of the breaks were cause they were quite tangled up, arms elbows everywhere pbf behind hatton etc ...

while i am a pbf fan and maybe biased (but i try not to be) imo while i do not think it was anywhere near cortez' best nite of officiating his part in the matter has always been blown way out of proportion. and while he could have and maybe even should have let them workout of the clinches early on, there was nothing wrong with him deciding to break them apart at least in terms of rules ... truth of the matter is hatton fans are just used to watching him wrestle as much as fight and didnt like an official getting involved no matter who was doing the holding and dirty tactics ...

Hatton was deducted a point for hitting Floyd at the back of his head when half of Floyd's body was out of the ring.Besides he swore at Cortez saying 'what the **** d you want me to do?'.As a professional he was not supposed to do that.(remember how calm Floyd was during the Zab Juda fracas, that's what professionals do).

Hatton is said to be a dirty fighter because of his holding.Cortez kept telling the guys to separate.Holding is an offence.Cortez penalised Hatton for genuine offences.Unfortunately Hatton is used to getting away with the unacceptable that is why he was sour about the whole thing.

        Hatton fights like an *******.

yes to both, especially in the early rounds. Floyd got on top in the later rounds and it was at that point fat boy decided not to break them up, what a coincidence!

#2 was how Floyd created space. I have to give Floyd a lot of credit for his quickness.

Hatton is pretty fast so he can punch then hug pretty quickly so Floyd's use of the elbows, while illegal, was highly effective in this fight.

he threw an almighty elbow in the 6th, Hatton got mad and thumped him for it then Floyd ran and dived out of the ring, Hatton still mad at him punched the rope

I think elbows are worse than holding. And they hurt a lot more.

exactly, while illegal pbf's elbow and forearm use and like hatton said 'dirty tactics and cute stuff' on the inside was extremely effective. and fighting a 'dirty' inside fighter like hatton and beating him at his own game at least for me is a testament on how good and complete of a fighter floyd actually is ...

Sometimes you gotta match dirty with dirty.

I always thought Floyd would win, but elbows are worse than holding IMO.

Weebler is such a flaming ***** its incredible. Just look at his signature.

Weebler still cant' get over the fact that Floyd beat Ricky on the INSIDE at his OWN game, humiliated him by doing so and KOed his sorry ass into a turnbuckle.

Weebler is still living off the gay fantasy of the phantom jab that landed on Floyd in Round 1.

                      Loser.
