Mosley's age shouldn't be a big factor at this stage yet.

alot of top fighters out there are in their mid thirtys like Marquez and are still near the top of their game. Mosley is the same.

In his last fight he still showed great speed and power and also showed he could use his jab and work the body well.

Pacquiao is a 140 pound fighter imo, If Mayweather wants to fight him i feel it should be at 140. If Mayweather is the small welterweight his fans make him out to be 140 should be no bother for him.

You guys are blinded by the way Shane looked against Margarito. Shane has a problem with "boxers" and awkward fighters. Margarito is there to be hit and blocks with his face.

We know Margarito is no Mayweather but its a fight people want to see.

Mosley is the best currently at 147. If Mayweather wants to be the best at 147 he has to beat Mosley.

Pacquiao serves the best chance, Marquez has the skill and determination, but he seriously needs to put on a little weight if he plans to be competitive even at 140. At 135 he seems too light and get's pushed around too easy.

I know i would agree with this because it backs up my point but i actually do agree with it logically. I see it the same as you. I think Mosley would of beaten Marg without Richardson as long as he held the way he did.

I felt Mosley's cleaner shots were better than Mayorgas wild swinging shots. Mayorga was winning rounds based on being a tad more active but Mosley was clearly landing the better shots throughout the bout.
Just out of curiosity why did you watch it again?

                Mosley isn't currently the best at 147. He's ranked number 1, there's a difference.

Ranking isn't always indicative of who the best in the division is, especially in the situation Mosley's in.

He could be the best, I'm not saying he can't. But it's certainly up for debate.

I can't argue with that and I agree to an extent. Shane has had issues with boxers when they start dictating the pace, but at the same time he's in no way a walk in the park for Floyd. Shane IMO will try to trap Floyd and just put tight pressure on him to get his shots off. How well is Floyd's defense after almost a 2 yrs hiatus? We shall find out.

Now where I see Cotto vs Floyd being the more interesting fight is based on their styles. Cotto is real tricky with the way he selects his shots. I saw it in the Shane fight, but after watching the slo mos and saw how he was timing Shane and sneaking in those straight rights while giving Shane the notion he's going to the body...that's definitely a sign of overall ring smarts as far as outpointing your opponent. Floyd's also incredibly intelligent in the ring and contrary to what people believe on here, he in now way is going to coast through a fight with Cotto. I think it'll be a tough task for both guys in 12 rounds of suspense. I really hope they make this fight next year be it Cotto stays on a run.

I watched it again to analyse his performance and to see how his chances faired against Margarito ( watched before Marg fight). I do this when it comes to big fights.

I see it like this :

Mosley beat the man (Margarito) who beat the man (Cotto)..... so in my opinion Mosley is the man at 147.
