BTW I havent seen the interview as I cannot see vids at work. I can only respond to written stuff.

Same day weigh ins are better and many people affiliated with boxing want it back, Ive heard some talk about it.
2 things allegedly contributed to Kim's death.
One was dehydration - Hence the altered weigh-in procedure
Second was prolonged brutality (not sure that I use the right words here) - Hence the abolishment of 15 round fights.

Its before the Hatton fight, he was talking about how when Hatton fought Tszyu he was on and off for a year or two. And how fighters get weight drained when they come back. He was talking about how guys like Tszyu after having a lay off, find it difficult to make weight.
Similar to what he's doing now. He said a fighter who used to fight at 140, will find it diffiult making 140 after a lay off.
Then the reporters asked him about, Duran and Ray Leonard and what he thought of them. He said he has high respect for them and appreciated what they did in for the sport. He went on to say, how he gave boxing 30 years of his life to get his family out of poverty. And how he will never say that any fighter was better than him as he gave boxing his life. He said they were the best in their era's and he was the best in his era.
Nothing wrong with what he's sayin.

They should agree on a catchweight or **** it. If Floyd wants 147 then there's plenty of fighters there he can choose(Quintana, Collazo, Cintron etc.).
Floyd himself said weight aint **** and that he's a throwback fighter. So fight Marquez at a catchweight, fight a WW, or stay retired...

What is your problem? If Marquez wants the fight, why are you getting worked up. Marquez called him out. The fight will proberly get made at 145, and if Marquez accepts then theres nothing wrong with it.

I bumped the thread I made a while back...
